The Lake Lapeer Association represents the Lake Lapeer property owners. The LLA Board of Directors, comprised of nine directors elected by the membership of the Association at August Annual Meetings, manages and controls the business and property of the Association. - Enforcing the LLA Bylaws and Declarations of Restrictions.
- Testing water quality twice each year in seven different areas of the lake.
- Maintaining the boat launch, two islands, and access lot.
- The Board handles changing the lake levels by removing the dam boards starting on approximately October 15 and putting in dam boards starting approximately April 21 (as directed by the Lapeer County Drain Commissioner).
- Stocking the lake with fish and staying current of State DNR changes and regulations.
- Collecting funds for the annual 4th of July fireworks show and managing the display with permits, buoys, insurance, etc.
- Sponsoring the Lake Lapeer Neighborhood Watch.
- Maintaining the www.lakelapeer.net website and Lake Lapeer Association Facebook page.
- Delivering Welcome Packets to all new residents.
